Heating Up Some Winter Sports
By Gian Trotta
Cold weather doesn't mean you have to give up your favorite summer pastimes. Mountain bikers can transform their trusty steeds into Alaskan-style Iditabikes, and in-line skaters will enjoy mushing down the slopes with a pair of Sled Dogs. Windsurfers can now become ski sailers or slap their sails onto a revolutionary ice boat that's "comfortable going freeway speeds." The storied sport of curling has now reached balmy Texas, and if you live in another warm climate -- but have always dreamed of Winter Olympic glory -- try modifying your skateboard into a 60-mph Street Luge.

Most computer scientists have a lame slapshot, if any at all, but Hunter is the exeption.
The master's degree candidate at the University of Toronto computer science department
also played in the 1994 Women's World Hockey Championships. She studies distributed
computation and networks and leaves lots of photos and lots & lots of hockey links.

Both intensely personal and highly polished, this collection of text and images is more
rewarding than a simple vanity site. Gerry is an engineer turned graphic artist who's
displaying his private and professional work along with prose on small matters like the
films of Fellini and the multiple meanings of love. Stop by for sly inspiration.
